Dawn's Diary January 2006

Dawn's Diary  - Page One

Dear Diary

Well, January is almost over as I write this and February and all the glory it will bring is quickly approaching.  Let's see...what has happened.  Well, of course everyone knows about baby Shine.  I had her pictures done by a pet paw-tographer the day before her first "show". Well, it really wasn't a real show because she is too young. It was what is known as an AKC B match...the dogs get to act like it is a show but you don't win any real points. It is for new show dogs and those not old enough to compete.  We came home with some ribbons   and it was lots of fun. We have one more B match in February in Houston. Then in March she will come of age!  We have been going to a conformation class to help learn ringside manner.

The kids have been enjoying Shine .  She is very active (especially compared to the two couch slugs) and keeps them busy in the back yard. I am busy too, picking up dog poop. Dirty work but someone has to do it.

We just finished redecorating  Vic's room.  It used to be dayglo yellow and now is radioactive green .  It looks good though, we got new bedding and the like.  So, I predict it should look really nice until....maybe Friday.  Then I imagine the junk will abound once again.

Westminster is rapidly approaching. Victoria and I will be going this year.  We are looking forward to it.  Vic is quite the good little dog show companion. She has been going with me and actually enjoying it.  Go figure.

Well, that is it for now.  I did include some pictures this time.  I hope you enjoy them.
