Dear Diary
Well, I am sure everyone has been wondering where the heck I have been and
what this dog
might have to do with it. Well, I guess the dog himself doesn't have much
to do with the reason I have been gone, but isn't he glorious? This is
Andrew. Andrew is a cham
pion
Standard poodle and belongs to my grooming
instructor, Steve . You heard me right, I said grooming instructor...as in
Pet Grooming Instructor. I have been going to pet grooming school In Arlington,
Texas. The place is called Texas All Breed Grooming School and I am just
finishing up my 12 week curriculum. What fun it has been! I have groomed a
lot of dogs...over 200 in fact. I have been living in a long term stay hotel and
going to school every day learning the finer points of quality pet grooming.

graduation, I will be opening my own mobile pet grooming business...It is called
"Fur Elite". I am sure I will post a link to the website once I set it up.
Every day me and around 10 other students go groom dogs at this school under the
direction of Steve. I have learned a
lot
and really enjoyed my time there. I took Lizzie and Ripley with me for
most of the time since I couldn't stand the thought of leaving them .They adapted quickly to this new life, but I
think they will be glad to stay at home for good when it is all said and done.
By the way...regarding Andrew....let's just say that you shouldn't be
surprised if one day you come here and read about a new addition to the Wilken
family......
Th
e kids have been staying with various relatives. Let's see, first they went
to their various
camps...Vic went to Camp Buckner again
and David went to Camp Peniel .
Then they went to St. Louis for a visit with the Wilken side of the family, and
after that to Camp Dave (Nana and Dave's house on Lake Livingston). Summer
was the perfect time for this new adventure for all of us, I will be all wrapped up the week
before school starts again. I am getting my van from Wag'n Tails in
Indiana. My dad and I will be traveling up there to pick it up at the end of
August.
Oh, you missed David's 12th birthday as well
...I don't think I updated this
site after his birthday. Also, Vic had an end of the season softball party at a
house I can only describe as being like a "resort". I took some pictures
for you to see for yourself.
Anyway, I will be better about updating this site once I am home from
Arlington ! Take care and enjoy the pictures!
