Dawn's Diary April 2004
Dawn's Diary - Page One
Dear Diary
How negligent I have been since Westminster. Truthfully, it is hard to
top that trip with anything so mundane as my daily life...but I must keep my
fans entertained. So...let's see...where shall we start? Well, let
me start by saying what a difference a month makes! Just over a month ago,
winter was in full force and we got a dusting of 2 inches of snow here in
Georgetown
.
This was real snow and not like the ice we had last year. Everyone loved
it, and the best part was that it was 40 degrees and the snow melted soon so no
treachery on the roads. The kids built a snowman
and we had the obligatory snow angel making
.
The dogs enjoyed frolicking in the snow as well
.
The rest of March was painfully slow as I "worked" my last days at my job.
Although it sounds ideal to get paid to do nothing, it was getting difficult
near the end. But, that is over now and on to other things. The next
month will be spent doing nothing... but I am not getting paid for that anymore.
Oh well. Then in May I will be leaving for dog grooming school in
Arlington. More on that in time.
Spring has come and the pond is showing signs of great life
.
Tragically, Heron stopped by and ate all my goldfish. The cichlids
survived and I have purchased some new little goldfish to fill in the gaps.
The leopard frogs have multiplied...must be 6 at least out there and the toads
are coming back as well. The dogs certainly seem to like the spring
.
Sorry this entry is a bit lame. I will hopefully have better entries in time, so
bear with me. Check out more pics here
