Dear Diary
This weekend was so great that it deserves a diary entry of its own.
First of all, Victoria faced her arch nemesis in a tennis tournament.....this is
a girl who Vic has faced many times but always has lost to in tie breakers.
This weekend, however, was different. After battling through 3 other
matches with relative ease, she faced her adversary once again
.
This time, however, she made short work out of her, winning 6-3. This
cemented her first place victory in this tennis tournament.
Also this weekend was another dog show for Shine. This weekend's show
was in Belton, and I was all on my own without my mentor there to help me.
I wasn't sure how things were going to go. We did our usual routine of
setting up shop, brushing Shine out, scissoring her to a plush finish and then
defied gravity with the hairspray
.
Shine was moving great that day! And lo and behold, we took Reserve Winner's
Bitch! It was the best moment in my thus far brief dog showing career
.
We also got a fancy ribbon like none we have received thus far. This did
much to boost my confidence, and although we did not repeat this on Sunday, I am
encouraged for the next show. Please visit the diary pics to see pictures
of this most auspicious weekend!
