| Late one night, as we were sleeping in our bed | The fire alarm sounded, a sound of great dread | I leaped out of my bed to see what was the fuss | To see that my fish tank somehow had bust | |

| The under-tank compressor had somehow caught flame | The heat broke the glass, and down the water came | The fire was put out when the water came down | And on the tile kitchen floor, the fish swam around. | |

| Without a tank I could keep them no more | So I donated them all to the local fish store | So, That's what Happened! I did manage to get some insurance coverage for the damage. We had really needed new carpet anyway! | ||
