Dear Diary
As usual, time has crept past me and I have failed to maintain my diary. Well, no matter. Here I am to do so at this time. I mostly have some pictures to post of previous things that I have written about that have been sitting in my camera.
Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures from Christmas as we forgot to bring our camera any mom hasn't sent me any of hers. Basically, they look the same as in years past...just add a foot to David's height and you get the general idea.
We will work backwards...let's see...this past weekend Tom and I went to that
fancy schmantzy gala benefit thingee for the Children's hospital. This
year I wore a perfect purple dress
.
There are several reasons why this dress was perfect. First of all, it is
purple...duh! Like, my favorite color in the world. So, let's
see...purple is my favorite color...it is also Prince's
favorite color. The band that was playing that night for entertainment was
Grupo Fantasma
,
which is one of Prince's hand-picked pet bands. Why, it was the next best thing
to being at a Prince concert. Just in case Prince made an appearance, I
was dressed appropriately. Well, as luck would have it, we didn't see him.
But we had a good time anyway.
David's high school soccer season has just about started up, he is on the JV
team and doing well. Vic's tennis
is kind of at a slow point since it is winter and all. She had a tournament this
past weekend and we about froze our tookuses off...so I think we will take a
break from that til Spring.
Shine hasn't won any more points. I was beginning to worry that Steve would give up on her, but he maintains that she is worthy of finishing and is in the process of dying her hair inky black. It was kind of getting two toned in appearance from the oxidation. Anyway, we hope good things are to come. She has won several Reserves, but those just aren't good enough anymore.
That ridiculous picture of Ripley on the front page is him in his Howl-o-ween costume for 2008. Someone gave it to us right after Halloween, but we will tuck it away for use this year in the Howl-o-ween contest at the dog bakery. Ripley went as a skunk in 2007 and still won first place, so now we are on a mission to win again!
I have some pictures of our trip to Pensacola to show you, and some pictures
of other general items....like this one of Vic and her friend Maddie making
cookies
.
so, enjoy! Oh, Westminster is right around the corner. I will try to
update this sight after that trip takes place. Til then, later!
